的re are two competitions for these awards:
- 的 Fall competition is for students going abroad in January Term, Spring Break or Spring 学期.
- 的 Spring competition is for students going abroad in Summer, Fall, or a Full Academic Year.
的 严格的最后期限 for submitting the application, the letter of recommendation and your academic transcript are:
Fall competition: October 10 at noon
Spring competition: March 7 at noon
Fall awards will be announced by the end of November and Spring awards will be announced by the end of April.
的 purpose of these awards is to help UNH undergraduate students cover the additional costs that come with 研究 abroad/away (NSE Canada only) and an international experience (Internship, 志愿者, 研究国外). Approximately 10 awards will be distributed each semester in the amounts of $500-$5000. Most awards are over $1000.
All students who meet the following eligibility requirements should apply. 的re are a variety of awards available.
Eligibility 需求
- Confirmed UNH Study Away Eligibility.
- Meet the financial aid office’s definition of financial need as determined by FAFSA and the Estimated Family Contribution.
- Applied to a UNH Managed, 批准, Exchange 研究 abroad program or International Experience (Internship, 志愿者 研究国外).
A few funds have grant-specific eligibility requirements. 这些都是:
- 多样性在国外 — supports under-represented students to 研究/intern/research abroad. Preference will be given to a student doing an education abroad experience for the first time.
- 福利杰克逊 — provides $5000 in financial assistance to students at the sophomore level and above who fit the eligibility requirements and will be 研究ing abroad for a semester or academic year.
- 耶鲁大学的玛利亚 — supports students 研究ing abroad in the Middle East.
需求
- No late or incomplete applications will be accepted.
- Recipients who do not participate on their declared education abroad program will forfeit their award.
- Recipients must commit to chronicle their education abroad experience, examples include social media posts/takeovers, short video or blogging.
- Recipients must apply for the 主要研究全球 Ambassador Program.

Awards will be granted based on a variety of factors that include financial need, 个人陈述, letter of recommendation and your suggestions for sharing your education abroad experience upon return. Depending on terms set by the award fund and committee, these additional elements may be considered: academic performance, 多样性, 专业及目的地.

*Take note that you cannot save changes in the application and come back to it. We recommend that for the long answer questions that you write these in a word document, copy and paste your answers into the application so that you can submit it at one time.
